In 2002 Papillon was born out of the need to feed hungry people in the poverty stricken communities south of Johannesburg. 7 years later the organization was responsible for providing 26 000 hot meals each year, and in association with other organizations currently distributes clothing, toiletries and other goods to orphans, old age homes and the poor of all ages, races and creeds in Johannesburg, Soweto, Orange Farm, Carletonville and other areas.
