The founder started Insight Breast Cancer Organization based on what she learned during her own battle with cancer. She found out that there were women dying from breast cancer because they didn't have transportation to medical treatment and/or had no child care, so they had to stay home to take care of their kids. While their insurance would have paid for their chemotherapy, it wouldn't have paid for transportation or day care. To the founder, this was a travesty.
